The 12th International Congress of Cosmetic Dermatology 2016 was taking place from 1st – 3rd Apr., 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
There were 2 important official presentations taken by Dr. Naouri during the congress.
Firstly, the technical presentation and live demo on “the combination therapy by FRAIXS DUO” was given by Dr. Naouri to explain the efficacy of combination
of CO2 fractional laser with fractional microneedle radio-frequency.
Also, the official scientific presentation provided by Dr. Naouri to practitioners about combining CO₂laser and micro-needle fractional RF technologies for optimal result of stretch mark and some deep scars or burn scars using FRAXIS DUO.
Fractional Microneedle RF and Fractional CO2 Laser: How to choose and combine these two fractional techniques to achieve optimal results.
Fractionated techniques have revolutionized the management of many aesthetic conditions: scars (mostly acne scars),
photo-aging and striae. Several energy based devices (EBD) devices use the fractional technique, in particular lasers and radiofrequency.
Fractional CO2 laser allows the realization of micro ablatives zones on the skin with peripheral thermal effects.
It is clearly seen as the fractional technology with the best and rapid results. Its limits are the importance of postoperative suites with social eviction,
the risk of hyperpigmentation especially with hard parameters and low penetration depth, making it difficult treatment very atrophic areas.
Fractional micro needle radiofrequency is a new technique that allows deep emission of radiofrequency thanks to micro needles.
The main advantage of this technique is its deep and homogeneous thermal effect, the possibility to treat dark photo-types without PIH, and its high tolerance.
The limits are a little bit lower and delayed effect.
Combination of CO2 fractional laser with fractional microneedle radiofrequency allow higher tolerance by the use of less power of CO2 and
more important effect made possible by high energy both on surface (laser) and deepness (RF).
